A staff report in the Columbia Business Journal shows that South Carolina scored an A- in the second annual Small Business Friendliness Survey, conducted by Thumbtack.com in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Results of the survey can be found here.
“The state ranks among the best places to grow a business, encouraged no doubt by South Carolina’s highly rated employment laws and training programs,” said Sander Daniels, co-founder of the San Francisco-based website that did the study.
According to the article, the Upstate region scored highest in South Carolina for small business friendliness.
Regarded as one of the largest foundations in the world devoted to entrepreneurship, the Kauffman vision is to foster a society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens, contributing to the improvement of their communities.
