Countybank was recognized yesterday in the groundbreaking ceremony for Miller Place Court, a unique 18-unit affordable housing development in Mauldin. The bank is providing the financing for the construction of the nine duplexes, which are planned to become residences for area school teachers and public service workers in the Mauldin community.
“Countybank has been a valued partner in bringing Miller Place Court to life,” said Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) director Stan Wilson. “We have appreciated how accessible they’ve been to meet with us and discuss options. When we’ve had questions, Countybank has been quick to respond.”
Miller Place Court is a joint endeavor of GCRA and the City of Mauldin.
“Miller Place Court is ‘good business’ for Countybank, in every sense of the word,” said Dustin Green, senior commercial lender for the Upstate-based bank. “We enjoy contributing our insights and resources to projects that create so much good in our community. We’ve built a great relationship with GCRA and look forward to participating in future projects.”
A full-service bank with five financial centers in Greenville and Greenwood, S.C., Countybank offers an innovative mix of traditional and online banking products for consumers and commercial clients. The bank was founded in 1933.
